Apple said in its latest Q2 financial report that the iPhone 14 series user satisfaction rating is as high as 99%. However, the PerfectRec data show a different picture.
PerfectRec analyzed 669,000 real user reviews and found that the iPhone 14’s 5-star user satisfaction rating is only 72%, which is 8 percentage points lower than the iPhone 13. What’s more, the iPhone 14’s rating has declined for the first time in 10 years , since the release of the iPhone 5. The iPhone 14 was lower than the iPhone X, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.
If we take the Pro models, then the result of the iPhone 14 Pro is 76%, while the iPhone 13 Pro had 84%. In comparison of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the new product also lost (80% vs. 86%).
iPhone 14 brought down the satisfaction rating with Apple smartphones
As for the reason for the drop in satisfaction ratings, analysts believe that it lies in the fact that the iPhone 14 did not live up to expectations and did not bring major changes.
The model with the highest user satisfaction is the iPhone 13 Pro Max (86%) and the lowest is the iPhone 5c (64%).
It was previously reported that the screens of the iPhone 14 Pro Max continue to burn in, but Apple does not consider this a problem.
