The announcement of the line is expected in September

The new Apple A17 Bionic SoC, which will be used in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models, includes a 6-core processor and a 6-core GPU, as reported by insider Unknownz21.

Recall that the Apple A16 Bionic received a 6-core processor and a 5-core graphics processor, so the Apple A17 Bionic should be faster in graphics applications, while the central processor will operate at a higher frequency.

The Apple A17 Bionic will have a maximum clock speed of 3.70 GHz, as opposed to 3.46 GHz in the A16 chip. In addition, the iPhone 15 Pro models will get the same 6GB of RAM as the iPhone 14 Pro models. Previous rumors suggested that the new smartphones could get 8GB of RAM.

In addition to performance improvements, the Apple A17 Bionic is also expected to deliver longer battery life. Performance can be increased by 10-15%, and power consumption can be reduced by 30%.

The leak confirmed that Apple will use the 3nm Apple A17 Bionic chip for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, while the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will get the same Apple A16 chip used in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

According to rumors, Apple plans to introduce new iPhone models on September 12, and sales will start on September 22 .

Insider Unknownz21 previously shared the first image of the bottom of the iPhone 15 Pro, showing the USB-C port and speaker grille. Even earlier, he leaked internal documents that confirm that the Wi-Fi 6E module will only be in iPhone 15 Pro models.
