A new forecast for the release of Apple smartphones
It seems that the new iPhone may indeed linger. At least some of them. According to the source, referring to Jeff Pu (Jeff Pu), the coronavirus pandemic may slightly affect the schedule for the release of new Apple products.
iPhone 9 in a week, iPhone 12 – in September, and iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will linger
Due to mass quarantine, Apple will extend one of the testing stages until the end of April for the younger iPhone 12 and until mid-May for the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
As a result, younger models should appear on the market on time, but older ones will be delayed until October. However, this is better than another scenario, according to which, the launch of new Apple smartphones will be postponed to December.
Besides, Apple already had a similar experience without coronavirus. In 2018, the iPhone XR came out later than its brothers in the line, and in 2017 the iPhone X had the same fate.
As for the iPhone 9, which is also called the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone SE 2020, it is supposed to be announced next week.
