Irish Store Notifies Some Customers That Their PS5 Orders Will Not Be Fulfilled This Year

The Irish division of the Gamestop store has announced that some of the PlayStation 5 pre-orders will be delayed until 2021. According to VGC, some buyers received such a notification. The company claims that the problems arose due to circumstances beyond its control.

The retailer posted the message 24 hours after receiving information from Sony about the distribution of shipments. The store invited its customers to stay in line or cancel the order.

The publication notes that this is not the first problem with the supply of PS5. Earlier, the British retailer ShopTo and Amazon reported delays in the delivery of the console . Both stores did not give exact dates to buyers, but said users would not be able to pick up the console on November 19.

Pre-orders for PS5 began on September 16 right after Sony’s presentation. Because of this, fans and the media criticized the company. The developers apologized for the current situation, after which retailers opened the second wave of pre-orders.
