It received a 5000 mAh battery, a 64-megapixel camera, a screen with a frame rate of 90 Hz and Android 11
The web has an image of the world’s first smartphone built on the pre-top SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 platform, which debuted just a few days ago. The novelty is called Motorola edge s.
It looks like the very first smartphone on the Snapdragon 870 platform
The smartphone poses both in the official teaser and in a couple of live photos. The first is accompanied by the date of the premiere of the novelty – January 26. And the photos make it possible to evaluate the design of the device at a slightly larger zoom.
As you can see, the developers have decided to equip the edge s with a dual front camera with sensors with a resolution of 8 and 16 megapixels. But if many manufacturers strive to make the front camera sensors as small as possible, then here, on the contrary, they were pushed out. There are four modules in the main camera system, but only three are marked with a colored border. What is the reason? In fact, there are three matrices in the smartphone – with a resolution of 64, 16, and 2 megapixels. The fourth module hides a laser autofocus assistant.
It is already known that Motorola edge s received a 6.7-inch Full HD + screen with a frame rate of 90 Hz. RAM is 6, 8, or 12 GB, flash memory – 128 or 256 GB. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, the maximum wired charging power is 20 W. The OS is Android 11.
Motorola edge s will be the first model to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870. More are coming soon. Xiaomi is preparing the camera phone on this platform and the iQOO by the game model.
