“It’s Real, Playable, and Coming”: Psychonauts 2 Developers Confirmed Plans To Release This Year
Studio Double Fine Productions, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the original Psychonauts, in its official microblog, commented on the timing of the release of a fairly delayed sequel.
Recall that before the July broadcast of the Xbox Games Showcase last year, the release of Psychonauts 2 was scheduled for 2020, but the show announced the postponement of the tentative premiere to 2021.
Since then, the fans have managed to get excited: there is still no clarification of the release dates, and more and more blockbusters are “moving” to 2022. The developers, however, hastened to reassure the fans.
And yes, Psychonauts 2 is out this year. Yes, I have already mentioned this here and elsewhere for a while, but I cannot give an exact date because someone in the COMPANY is organizing a mysterious “cactus incident” for me. But it is real, playable and coming, ” Double Fine Productions assured.
Psychonauts 2 is being created for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. Besides, the project will become part of the first day of the launch of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
