Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV Coming Next Year
Jaguar unveils the Gran Turismo SV electric sports car. However, this is not a real car or even a concept car. Like the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Coupé released last year, this is a virtual object only available in Gran Turismo. However, the developers made a full-scale mockup for research purposes. The first illustration shows a computer model, the second – a real one.

“The Vision GT SV is an impressive and visually immersive vehicle that demonstrates what is possible when the traditional boundaries that govern the design of real cars are completely removed. Bringing this car to life through a full-size design study, we were able to showcase the most extreme version of Jaguar’s electric racing car, inspired by the past but fearlessly looking into the future, ”commented Jaguar Design Director Julian Thomson on his team’s work.
The gaming Vision GT SV will be powered by four electric motors instead of three on its predecessor. These engines have a total capacity of 1877 hp. allow the car to accelerate to 100 km / h in about 1.65 seconds and reach a top speed of 410 km / h. For comparison, the Gran Turismo Coupé has a top speed of 320 km / h. More aerodynamically improved contours helped boost speed, Jaguar said. In particular, an interesting feature is the two-section folding rear fender that automatically raises to increase downforce for better traction and lowers to minimize drag.
Unfortunately, Jaguar does not say which game the virtual machine is intended for. It is only known that it will be released in 2021. It could be Gran Turismo 7, which is expected to hit the PS5 next year.
