Regent Craft reported receiving investments of $60 million – money was invested in the company by Japan Airlines, Lockheed Martin, as well as several backgrounds. This amount is enough to build prototypes of the advanced ekranoplanes Regent Viceroy and Regent Monarch, as well as conduct their flight tests.
Japan Airlines, Lockheed Martin, and others have invested $60 million in Regent Craft.
Regent Craft is working on two models. The Regent Viceroy is a compact ekranoplane that will be able to maneuver in harbors like a regular boat and will use hydrofoils during takeoff. It is designed for 12 people, the range is 290 km. The Regent Monarch is larger (the model is designed for 100 passengers) and has a longer range – about 800 km.
