Japanese fighting game Samurai Shodown will be released on Xbox Series X and S in mid-March

SNK Corporation announced that the fighting game Samurai Shodown will be released on Xbox Series X and S on March 16 this year. Koch Media is responsible for physical publishing in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, Australia and New Zealand.

On Xbox Series X and S, the game will play at 120 fps. Owners of a copy of Samurai Shodown on Xbox One will receive a digital version of the fighting game for free on new consoles. Purchased add-ons will also carry over to Xbox Series X and S.In addition, Koch Media will release a disc version of Samurai Shodown with bonuses. The set will include the first Season Pass, which includes four fighters and a costume, as well as a new character – Cham-Cham.

Samurai Shodown was released in 2019 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and has since visited Slots, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The fighting game is set in Japan in the 18th century, three years before the events of the original part. The roster of fighters consists of both old and new characters – for example, Gosan Lee from the mobile game Honor of Kings. In addition, the developers have released two Season Pass with heroes, and the third will be available for purchase in February this year.
