Koch Media To Release Domestic Isometric Turn Based RPG Encased In 2021
Koch Media publishers and domestic studio Dark Crystal Games announced their collaboration on the role-playing game Encased – Koch Media Group will support the global launch of the sci-fi project. Further details on the collaboration and launch date will be released at a later date, but the game is slated for full release in 2021 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
As the studio promises, the partnership will allow it to maintain complete creative freedom and secure the support of an international publisher. What’s more, thanks to Koch Media, each character under the Dome will have their own voice – the full professional voice acting is promised. In addition, the project will be translated into many languages (so far only Russian and English are available). The developers will share the details of upcoming updates and improvements very soon.
Vyacheslav Kozikhin, Creative Director of Dark Crystal Games, said: “From the very first day of development, Encased was an independent project created on our own resources and supported by the wonderful Kickstarter community. The partnership with Koch Media will preserve our creative freedom, but also help bring the game to a huge global audience. Encased will now have full voice acting, localization into additional languages and will be released straight to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We look forward to bringing this adventure to a much wider audience. “
Encased has been in Early Access on Steam since September 26, 2019, is sold for 499 ₽ and currently has a very positive rating (82% of approvals from almost 900 responses). The developers are constantly updating their brainchild: on Monday, December 21, the fourth version update will be released in Early Access. It should make the gameplay much more interesting and convenient, bring updates to the world under the Dome, including new heroes and fresh adventures.
As the creators note, Encased is a tribute to the turn-based sci-fi RPG in the spirit of Fallout, Divinity: Original Sin, Wasteland and Shadowrun. Here you have to make decisions, fight, study anomalies, survive, create items and find equipment.
The action takes place in the anomalous Zone under the Dome, cut off from the outside world. Immediately after the prologue, the hero finds himself in an open and explorable world. The old order is gone, the wasteland is divided among five factions. You can stay alone or join one of the warring parties – one way or another, the hero will change the future of the Dome and its inhabitants. A massive story is promised, taking place before, during and after the apocalypse.
