“ Due to a shortage of components, AvtoVAZ is resuming production of Granta cars without airbags. It is possible that the same version will have to be used on vehicles of the Vesta family, so as not to stop the conveyor ,” insiders said.
Stopping the installation of airbags directly on the assembly line is, of course, unpleasant, but not fatal: they will be installed later on ready-made cars. In the meantime, cars that require modifications will be stored on the premises of the plant.
