Central locking may not be returned until mid-summer

According to Atypical AvtoVAZ on the social network VKontakte, in April AvtoVAZ will produce Lada Granta cars without a central lock and will temporarily discontinue production of sedans and liftbacks of the #Club series, as well as the Granta Cross station wagon in the Quest version.

Lada Granta involuntarily lost the central lock in February of this year due to the lack of components. So far, the forecasts are such that this option may return to such cars no earlier than the middle of the coming summer. The same expectations apply to the Club and Quest series of the family. As we have already reported, the plant “paused” their production at the beginning of March. The reason is the lack of parking sensors, which are provided in these trim levels.

More recently , it became known that from the end of March, AvtoVAZ again began to produce incomplete LADA Granta without electric power steering (EUR). They are stored on the territory of the plant and await their turn for retrofitting as the necessary components arrive.

“Atypical AvtoVAZ” in the past was the first to announce the resumption of production of Lada Niva and the configuration of “Moskvich 3”.
