Next year, the AvtoVAZ line will be replenished with a new model, developed by the company itself with the help of Renault. It will be a budget Lada Iskra, and it was filmed on the territory of the plant.

Lada Iskra will be built on the Renault CMF-B platform. The car will be offered in both sedan and station wagon body styles. Under the hood there should be a 1.6-liter VAZ engine, a VAZ manual transmission, and in top versions – a Chinese WanLiYang CVT18 variator from Lada Vesta. For some time, the Iskra will be sold in parallel with the Lada Granta, but in the future the Iskra will replace the Granta.
