This APS-C lens focuses manually
Venus Optics has unveiled the Laowa Argus 33mm f / 0.95 CF APO lens, which was announced two months ago. This is a fast APS-C lens. It focuses manually. The large maximum aperture makes the lens well suited for low-light photography and produces a shallow depth of field, making it easy to separate the subject from the background. According to the manufacturer, the presence of an ultra-low dispersion element, an aspherical element, and three elements with an ultra-high refractive index in the optical system helps to “minimize chromatic aberration throughout the frame.”

The long travel of the focusing ring, the almost complete absence of “focus breathing”, that is, the change in focal length from the position of the focusing ring, and the stepless aperture ring make the lens well suited for video shooting.
