The named processor is targeted at premium Chromebooks. The chip contains four ARM Cortex-A78 cores and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores. The ARM-Mali G57 accelerator is busy with graphics processing. Manufacturing standards are 6 nanometers.

The MediaTek MT8195 laptop motherboard is reportedly codenamed, Cherry. So far, unfortunately, it is not clear under what brand the Chromebook based on it will debut, but it is argued that the presentation will take place this year.

The platform provides support for LPDDR4X RAM, as well as 7.1 Surround Sound. Besides, the USB 3.2 Gen1 interface and the ability to display images on three displays at once are mentioned.

Note that Chromebook sales are setting new records amid a pandemic that triggered a boom in distance learning. Last year, Canalys estimates that 30.7 million Chrome OS laptops were shipped worldwide. The growth in 2019 was 109%.
