Leaked: Koei Tecmo To Release A Compilation Of Three Ninja Gaiden Games On PS4 And Switch
Users of the Reddit forum drew attention to the appearance in the catalog of the Hong Kong online store Game Source Entertainment of the yet unannounced collection of action-adventure games Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.
Since the discovery of the trilogy, the corresponding pages from the Game Source Entertainment website have already disappeared, but prudent gamers managed to save material evidence (see screenshot below).
According to already deleted information, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy is preparing for release only on consoles – PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The collection is scheduled to be released in March 2021.
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy will cost $ 40 (about 3 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate). The collection includes Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge.
What kind of improvements these games will provide is not specified. Probably, we are talking about remasters. The original Ninja Gaiden Sigma dates back to 2004, while Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (the most recent of the three) dates back to 2012.
It is noteworthy that a collection called Ninja Gaiden Trilogy already exists. The 1995 SNES collection includes the first three installments of the series, released on the NES between 1988 and 1991.
As for the new trilogy, both Ninja Gaiden Sigma at one time received quite warmly ( 88 points and 83 points on Metacritic), while the journalists disliked Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge – only 67 points.
