Leaked: PS5 version of Resident Evil Village will offer ray tracing and dynamic 4K

The page of the upcoming horror Resident Evil Village on the official PlayStation website has recently been replenished with new information, including those not previously disclosed by the developers.

In particular, we are talking about a section with details of the functions supported by the game PlayStation 5: “amazing graphics”“fast loading”“adaptive triggers”“tactile feedback” and “surround sound”.

“Enjoy the beautiful, so many terrifying landscapes and locations of the Resident Evil Village in [dynamic] 4K with ray tracing,” the project description promises.

Capcom has previously said nothing about support for ray tracing in Resident Evil Village. At the same time, the technology found its way into Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition (same engine) for next-gen consoles.

As practice shows, you should not completely trust the promises of Sony Interactive Entertainment: previously, ray tracing was expected in the remake of Demon’s Souls, but as a result, the declared function will not be in the game.

Earlier, insider Dusk Golem (aka AestheticGamer) revealed that at least “a few months ago” the PlayStation 5 version of Resident Evil Village suffered from serious performance problems.

Resident Evil Village will be released in 2021 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. At the Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online held in September, the developers promised to try to port the game to PS4 and Xbox One.
