Lenovo Introduces Personal Cloud T2 Home Cloud Up to 36TB
The Chinese company Lenovo will begin selling the Personal Cloud T2 next month, a network-attached storage (NAS) device designed for home and small office use.
The novelty is designed to install two drives of size 3.5 / 2.5 inches with SATA 3.0 interface. In the maximum configuration, two hard drives with a capacity of 18 TB each can be installed for a total of 36 TB. The organization of a RAID 1 array is possible.
The “heart” of the storage is the Realtek RTD1296 processor with four ARM Cortex-A53 processing cores operating at a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz. The device carries 2 GB of RAM and an eMMC 5.1 flash module with a capacity of 8 GB.
A Gigabit Ethernet port is used to connect to a computer network. There are USB 3.0 Type-A and USB 3.0 Type-C connectors to which external drives and peripherals can be connected.
Dimensions of new items are 235 × 171 × 106 mm, weight – 1.75 kg without installed drives. The cooling system uses a fan with a low noise level.
The Lenovo Personal Cloud T2 will sell on May 10 and be available for an estimated $ 150.
