The design of the new device is similar to the appearance of the Lenovo Smart Clock, released last year. The four-inch LED display shows the time, day of the week, and air temperature. The display supports auto-dimming to adapt to room lighting conditions. The device also has a built-in night light.

Smart Clock Essential is housed in a fabric-covered wedge-shaped case with buttons at the top, a mute switch, and a USB port on the back.

With Google Assistant support, you can use your voice to set alarm times, play music and podcasts, and take advantage of other features available on Google Smart Assistant-enabled speakers such as answering questions, getting weather, and traffic reports.

The device has a 3 W speaker and two passive radiators. There is also a Bluetooth module, thanks to which Smart Clock Essential can be used as a speaker for your phone. And the USB-A port can be used to charge your mobile device.
