Lenovo is preparing a series of thin laptops Slim 7 based on Intel Tiger Lake and GeForce MX450
It looks like Lenovo will be updating the entire Yoga lineup with the new Intel Tiger Lake processor family. Today we have already talked about the Yoga 9 and Yoga Slim 9 models. A 13.3-inch Yoga Carbon model was also reported late last month. Today it was revealed that the full name of this device is Yoga Slim 7 Carbon. And it will become part of the Lenovo Slim 7 series, which will also include the Yoga Slim 7 and Yoga Slim 7 Pro models.
The specifications of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon laptop are already known. Briefly recall that the device will receive a 13.3-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. The display will provide support for 100 percent color gamut sRGB.
The promotional materials published today by online sources contain virtually no technical information about the Yoga Slim 7. However, the SiSoftware synthetic test database indicates that this laptop is based on a quad-core and eight-thread Core i7-1165G7 (Tiger Lake) chip, which runs in the frequency range 2.8-4.7 GHz. It has 6 MB of cache memory for the second and 12 MB for the third level.
Twitter user WalkingCat, in turn, posted information about the Yoga Slim 7 Pro. Firstly, it is noteworthy that the weight of the new item will be 1.45 kg, and its thickness is 14.9 mm. The choice will be available in two color options for the case: light silver (Light Silver) and slate gray (Slate Gray).
The laptop will be equipped with a 14-inch display with 2K resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 90 Hz refresh rate. It will occupy 91% of the area of the front side of the device, while the screen brightness will be 400 cd / m 2.
For the Yoga Slim 7 Pro, the manufacturer is going to use 11th generation Intel Core chips, up to the Core i7-1165G7 model. You can also choose one of two options for the graphics subsystem. In one case, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card will be offered, the second choice may be the GeForce MX450. The latest company NVIDIA has not yet announced, but early leaks said that this graphics card will replace the GeForce MX350. The GeForce MX450 will be based on the TU117 video chip. The card will receive 2 GB of GDDR6 video memory. Recently, NVIDIA added support for the GeForce MX450 to its driver, so the announcement of a new product, apparently, is just around the corner.
The manufacturer claims the battery life of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro laptop is 16 hours. In the published promotional materials there is no information about when the new product is going to be presented and how much it will be priced. Most likely, the device will have to wait until the official announcement of new Intel mobile processors. Recall that it is scheduled for September 2 this year.
