Lenovo’s new 11.6-inch education laptops to ship with Chrome OS and Windows

Lenovo has announced six laptops for educational use at once. The 100e, 300e, and 500e Gen 3 models debuted running Chrome OS, and the Windows-based 100w, 300w, and 500w Gen 3 models.

All new items are equipped with a display with a diagonal of 11.6 inches. An HD format matrix with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels is used. The equipment includes a 720p front camera.

Lenovo models 100e and 100w are classic laptops. Lenovo 300e and 500e, and Lenovo 300w and 500w are convertible laptops with a 360-degree lid. Thus, the devices can be used in tablet mode. The equipment of these models includes an additional 5-megapixel camera.

Lenovo’s 100e and 300e Chromebooks carry an AMD for Chromebooks processor, while their Windows variants feature the AMD 3015e chip. The “heart” of the Lenovo 500e and 500w versions is the Intel Celeron N5100 and Intel Pentium N6000 processors, respectively.

The computers carry 4 GB of RAM (8 GB for the Lenovo 500e and 500w). The capacity of the flash drive, depending on the modification, is 32, 64, or 128 GB.

All new items are endowed with a Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1 ports, USB Type-A 3.2, HDMI 1.4b, a MicroSD slot, and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.

Sales will begin in May – June, with prices ranging from $ 299 to $ 429 in the base configuration.
