Lexar brand owned by Longsys Chinese electronic conglomerate since 2017
As we already reported, the Chinese company Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC) shipped samples of the 128-layer NAND flash memory to manufacturers of controllers. According to the source, YMTC has signed an agreement on the supply of flash memory chips with the popular Lexar brand specializing in SSDs, memory cards and USB drives.
Lexar memory cards will use YMTC 128-layer flash memory
Lexar, a well-known brand in Western markets, was previously owned by Micron Technology, which in 2017 sold it to Longsys, a Chinese electronic conglomerate.
Allegedly, the first YMTC product supplied by Lexar will be 512 Gb 128-bit 3D QLC NAND flash memory chips for Lexar card microSDXC memory cards. This series includes 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB models, featuring write speeds of up to 70 MB / s and read speeds of up to 90 MB / s.
