LG to Showcase First QNED Mini LED TVs at CES 2021
LG Electronics (LG) has revealed preliminary information about its first QNED Mini LED TVs, which will be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2021 consumer electronics show.
The new products use NanoCell technology: nanoparticles are used that create pure colours by filtering inaccurate shades and increasing the purity of the RGB spectrum.
A Mini LED illumination system based on an array of microscopic LEDs is used. It allows you to implement local dimming by dividing into zones with independent regulation.
In the case of QNED Mini LED TVs, the number of LEDs in the backlighting system is almost 30,000, and the number of local dimming zones reaches almost 2,500. The result is excellent picture quality. For example, the contrast reaches 1,000,000: 1.
The QNED Mini LED panel series will include ten models up to 86 ” diagonal. It talks about the use of quantum dot technology. The refresh rate is up to 120 Hz.
Buyers will be able to choose between 4K and 8K versions: in the first case, the resolution is 3840 × 2160 pixels, in the second – 7680 × 4320 pixels.
