LG Velvet smartphone will have a third version – with a 5G processor MediaTek
The South Korean company LG, according to Internet sources, is preparing to release another modification of the Velvet smartphone, the original version of which was presented in May this year.
The equipment of Velvet, we recall, includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, containing eight Kryo 475 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz, an Adreno 620 graphics accelerator and an X52 5G modem with support for fifth-generation mobile networks. The price is around 650 euros.
On the eve, we reported the release of 4G-modification Velvet, which is based on the Snapdragon 845 platform – the flagship chip 2018. Such a device costs approximately 500 euros.
It is now reported that the third version of Velvet has appeared in the Google Play Console. Its “heart” will be the MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor (MT6883): this product combines eight computing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.6 GHz and a 5G modem.
It is known that the equipment of the upcoming version of the smartphone includes 6 GB of RAM. The operating system Android 10 is listed as the software platform.
Obviously, other characteristics will remain unchanged: this is a 6.8-inch Full HD + screen, a triple camera (48 + 8 + 5 million pixels), a selfie camera with 16 million pixels, and a 4300 mAh battery.
