LG’s first 4K monitor with HDMI 2.1 will be released in April

In January, CES 2021 LG has opened the curtain on the flagship monitor UltraGear 27GP950 for high-end gaming systems during a virtual exhibition. And now a new piece of information about this model has been published.

The UltraGear 27GP950 is LG’s first 4K (3840×2160) monitor to feature HDMI 2.1. This port will allow the panel to be used with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S game consoles, revealing all their capabilities.

It is known that the new product has Vesa DisplayHDR certification 600 (brightness of 600 cd / m 2 ), has a refresh rate of 160 Hz, and a response time of 1 ms. The diagonal is 27 inches.

The monitor is now reportedly likely to feature AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology support and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility. These systems will help improve the fluidity of the gameplay

LG’s UK office reported that the UltraGear 27GP950 would replace the 27GN950, which will be discontinued in March. The novelty will go on sale in April.

Unfortunately, the price of UltraGear 27GP950 has not been disclosed yet. But the characteristics indicate that the cost of the panel will be very high.
