Lucid Motors announced today that Sherry House, formerly of Waymo, will be its new CFO. House has worked at Waymo for four years, most recently as CFO and Head of Investor Relations. Before that, she was Vice President of Corporate Development at Visteon Corporation and Managing Director of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications at Deloitte Corporate Finance.

The electric car maker also hired Margaret Burgaff, formerly at Apple and Intel, as vice president of software review. The company also appointed Sanjai Chandra, former CIO and Cloud Operations Leader at TiVo / Xperi, as President of the CIO. Jeff Curry, who has worked for Jaguar, Ferrari, and Audi, is promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

New employees joined Lucid Motors just weeks before the merger with Churchill Capital IV Corp., which will officially make it a public company. Going public will provide Lucid with the capital it needs to start producing its first all-electric vehicle, the Lucid Air luxury sedan.

The company planned to start production and delivery this spring but postponed the date until the second half of the year. Lucid Air will go on sale in the US first. The electric car will debut in Europe in 2022 and China in 2023. In the same year, 2023, Lucid plans to launch the high-end electric SUV Gravity in the North American market. It will be manufactured at the company’s new plant in Arizona. Initially, the factory will produce 30 thousand cars per year, and later the production volume will be expanded to 365 thousand electric vehicles per year.
