Many Mass Effect 3 developers, including the senior game designer, didn’t like the game’s ending

Edition of The Gamer communicates with several former BioWare members, including senior game designer Mass Effect 3 Patrick Moran (Patrick Moran). The developer didn’t like the game’s ending, and he even spoke about his complaints to the management. However, then his statements, which were in solidarity with many team members, the authorities ignored them.

Patrick Moran said: “A significant part of the team did not want to see such a final of Mass Effect 3. I remember reading the script and was upset because it seemed to me that all the decisions I made no longer mattered. I sent an email in an attempt to challenge the ending but never got a response. The Mass Effect team was run like a [US] Navy ship, with strict command lines, areas of responsibility, and department heads who had waited for years to be promoted. You followed orders and tried not to be too arrogant or annoying. The Dragon Age team was more like a pirate ship in this regard

Jay Turner, the writer of the second and third parts of Mass Effect, said in a similar vein: “When I played the game, I was quite happy with the ending as the result of the entire trilogy. But after I repeated the walkthrough and realized that my decisions only changed the color of the explosion in the last splash screen, I was very disappointed

Recall: May 14, 2021, BioWare will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One Mass Effect Legendary Edition – a collection with remasters of the first three parts of the franchise.
