New pickup versions introduced in Australia

The Mazda BT-50 pickup debuted in 2020. If before that the car was actually a clone of the Ford Ranger, then in the new (third generation) it is already a converted Isuzu D-Max. Now, three years later, Mazda has brought to the Australian market the most off-road factory versions of the pickup truck – SP Pro and Thunder Pro.

The SP Pro has new dual shock absorbers, due to this, the ground clearance was increased by 5 cm. Also included are 18-inch wheels with off-road tires and an LED strip on the grille (perhaps it was spied on by the Toyota Thundra TRD Pro), “beating” forward for a distance of 569 meters. Mazda is asking $5,100 for the SP Pro package.

The Thunder Pro version features an Old Man Emu BP-51 snorkel and suspension kit with adjustable dampers, and the grille LED strip is complemented by two LED spotlights that illuminate the area ahead for up to 1.1km! Interestingly, the Thunder Pro version doesn’t cost much more, with the package priced at $6,060.

Finally, another interesting point: the Mazda BT-50 in SP Pro and Thunder Pro versions is backed by a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
