Meizu Technology has officially announced on its Weibo social network page the availability of an important update for the flagship smartphones Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro, which have received a number of expected functions.
Recall that the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro smartphones were presented on May 8, out of the box they received a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz, but the manufacturer immediately promised to release an update that would increase the frequency to 120 Hz. A few days later the update was released, but initially, it was intended for observers and media representatives.
Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro received not only 120 Hz mode, but also support for HDR video
Now Meizu has begun mass distribution of software for Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro for all the first smartphone buyers in China, which has added not only support for 120 Hz mode.
After installing this firmware, smartphones get support for the DC Dimming function, which eliminates screen flickering at low brightness, and also gets the ability to play videos with extended dynamic range (HDR).
Both smartphones received a 6.6-inch Samsung Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, a Snapdragon 865 5G single-chip system, a large 4,500 mAh battery with support for 30 watts Super mCharge fast charging. The Meizu 17 Pro also supports mCharge Super Wireless 27W.
