Mercedes-Benz EQS luxury electric sedan unveiled
According to the manufacturer, the EQS is the first all-electric luxury sedan in its range. The task of the car is to “redefine this segment of cars”. In addition, the EQS is the first model based on a modular architecture for luxury and executive electric vehicles.
The electric car is equipped with a 107.8 kWh battery, which, according to Mercedes-Benz, provides a range of up to 770 km in the WLTP cycle. The car will be available in two versions. The first buyers will be offered a version of the EQS 450+ with a single 245 kW engine and rear-wheel drive. Later there will be a version of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC with a 385 kW engine and all-wheel drive. These variants will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in 6.2 and 4.3 s, respectively. The maximum speed in both cases will be 210 km / h. The machine is 5216 mm long, 1926 mm wide, and 1512 mm high, and will weigh about 2.5 tons.
The manufacturer did not name the prices. They are expected to be at least $ 100,000.
