Sony recently released the $ 2,500 Sony Xperia Pro smartphone that doubles as an external screen for the camera.

Now Sony offers a similar opportunity to Xperia 1 II users as part of the latest update to Android 11. This was discovered by Reddit users who confirmed that Xperia 1 II owners could connect their smartphone to a supported Sony Alpha camera and use it as an external screen. To use the new external monitor feature, you need to use a USB-C to HDMI cable.
The source also adds that this feature works on the compact flagship Xperia 5 II.
