Microids will release a new game about Asterix and Obelix – Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All!

The Microids publishing house on its official website presented a joint project with the studio Mr. Nutz – the cartoon action game Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! for PCs and consoles.

Asterix and Obelix: Slap Them All! unfolds on Gaul’s territory, almost completely captured by the Romans. An exception is the village of Asterix and Obelix, which does not surrender under the invaders’ pressure.

The developers promise that the new adventure will bring the cult couple to the “most iconic places in the comics” and offer to fight with Roman legionnaires, pirates, robbers, and Normans.

Mr. Nutz Studio aims to make Asterix and Obelix: Slap Them All! As close as possible in spirit to the source, in connection with which the visual style was chosen, in which the characters, landscapes, and animations are drawn by hand.

“Unlike a magic potion, the gameplay recipe is quite simple and contains no secrets. Think about the core mechanics of the beat ’em up genre and add some local co-op! “– explained the authors.

Slap Romans (and not only) in Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! will be possible within the framework of the main adventure, mini-games, and arcade mode. The latter includes an online leaderboard.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! will go on sale this fall for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game will work with backward compatibility on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S.
