Microsoft canceled Xbox Live Gold 1 year subscription, and this is not a mistake
Xbox game console users have noticed that Microsoft has stopped offering Xbox Live Gold’s annual subscription at its store. At first, it was blamed on a possible mistake. However, the company denied this assumption.
A Microsoft spokeswoman confirmed that the company made a conscious decision to remove Xbox Live Gold’s annual subscription from the Microsoft online store. He also stressed that users are still available to the Xbox Live Gold options for a month and three months. Unfortunately, the company representative did not disclose the reasons for this step.
Presumably, Microsoft has decided to seriously reorganize its gaming offerings and focus on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, making it the mainstream. In the fall, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is planned to be expanded with the addition of Project xCloud streaming service.
On July 23, 2020, Microsoft will hold a presentation where the fate of Xbox Live Gold can be clarified.
