The Phone Link app only supported Android phones for several years
Microsoft has begun rolling out Windows 11 users with full support for Apple mobile devices. The Windows 11 Phone Link app introduces the ability to sync iOS smartphones. This means you can now use your Windows 11 PC to make calls and send or receive messages from your iPhone without having to reach for the phone itself.
This feature began rolling out to Windows Insiders testers a few weeks ago, but is now rolling out to all stable users of Windows 11. The feature rolls out gradually. Microsoft expects iOS support to become fully available in mid-May. The feature is rolling out in 85 regions and 39 languages.
Microsoft fully connected the iPhone to Windows 11
The Phone Link app only supported Android phones for several years. Working with iOS offers fewer options. At the moment, Phone Link only allows access to contacts, calls and SMS messages. Unlike Android, group messaging, sending images and videos from a PC is not supported, and access to the phone’s gallery is not provided.
To connect your iPhone to Phone Link, just launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the two devices.
