Microsoft has released a preview build of Windows Server 2022
Today, during the spring Ignite 2021 conference, Microsoft announced a preview build of Windows Server 2022. In fact, users registered in the Windows Insider program have been testing this operating system for some time, which until last month was distributed as one of the following LTSC (Long- Term Service Channel).
Although the Insiders were able to test earlier builds, the Windows Server 2022 that Microsoft unveiled today is close to final.
Microsoft says the highlight of this release is the addition of kernel protection capabilities to Windows Defender System Guard and virtualization-based security features. The company also promises to improve the speed and security of HTTPS connections and add SMB AES-256 encryption.
Note that the Windows Server 2022 build released last week was numbered 20298, which is the latest build number for Windows 10X. It is expected that the release version of Windows Server 2022 will be presented soon.
Perhaps around the same time, Windows 10X will launch for personal computers. Anyway, rumors pointed to a spring release. This operating system will be delivered only pre-installed on finished computers and will not be distributed separately.
