Microsoft has released the latest optional update for Windows 10 (1909)
It became known that Microsoft has released an additional update for the Windows 10 operating system (1909), the official support for which will end in May this year. The optional update KB5000850 is available through Windows Update or downloaded from the Microsoft catalog as an offline installer.
Unlike monthly security updates, this package is optional and will not automatically download to user devices. After installing KB5000850, the build number of Windows will rise to 18363.1474, and numerous fixes will be applied to improve the software platform’s stability.
As for the most notable fixes, installing KB5000850 resolves an issue with search filters in File Explorer where it hangs when trying to filter a search result. This problem was first noticed about two years ago, and after the launch of Windows 10 (1909), more users paid attention to it. Also, the developers have fixed a bug due to which the Internet Explorer mode in the Edge browser did not work correctly when using multiple monitors. Fixed a bug due to which, in some cases, there were difficulties in the operation of USB 3.0 hubs when trying to restart the device.
Since Windows 10 (1909) will no longer receive updates in May of this year, Microsoft recommends that users promptly switch to the latest versions of the software platform. It’s worth noting that the end of support affects different versions of Windows 10 (1909), including Home and Pro. At the same time, Windows 10 (1909) Enterprise and Education users will continue to receive updates.
