Microsoft starts rolling out Windows 10 October 2020 Update to all users

Microsoft has announced the launch of the next functional update Windows 10 October 2020 Update, also known as Windows 10 20H2. Soon it will become available to all users of the software platform automatically. If you want to install this package faster, you can do this using the appropriate update checker in the Settings application.

If the user’s computer is compatible with the Windows 10 October 2020 Update, then the Additional Updates section of Windows Update will reflect this and you can easily download and install the package. It is worth noting that in order to download the update, your computer must have the September security patch released as part of the Patch Tuesday program or a later version.

The innovations that Windows 10 20H2 brings with it have long been known. There will not be any significant functional changes after the update is installed, since this package mainly consists of general fixes and performance improvements, and also activates features that were delivered to the operating system along with previous updates.

Among other things, Windows 10 20H2 brings a redesigned and more modern Start menu. The colored substrates under the icons in the Start menu and in the menu of installed applications have been replaced by monochrome and partially transparent background. The developers have also added a new tabbed tool to the proprietary Edge browser. You can now use the Alt + Tab keyboard shortcut to list all open tabs in the browser. If you want to return to using the default settings for the keyboard shortcut, you can do this in the System menu of the Settings application. Windows 10 20H2 brings other changes and stability improvements to the OS, many of which are aimed at improving the stability of the software platform.
