Microsoft wants like Apple.
Previously, Microsoft posted a lot of vacancies that just talk about new projects. Specifically, the company is looking for a chief system-on-a-chip architect with experience in high performance SoC architecture as well as CPU and GPU architecture and design.
So far, there are no details about what Microsoft’s chips could be, of course. Probably, such solutions will appear only in a few years. At the same time, if these are SoCs of Microsoft’s own design, the company will be able to use them in its Surface PCs, but they are unlikely to appear in other PCs.
