Microsoft will continue to get rid of unpopular pre-installed apps in Windows 10

The Windows 10 operating system comes with many applications, some of which are targeted at a narrow range of users. It seems that Microsoft has decided to reduce the number of such applications in its software platform. According to online sources, along with the next functional update, the 3D Viewer and Paint 3D applications will disappear from Windows 10.

The aforementioned 3D modeling applications are not very popular among users, so the developers decided to abandon their pre-installation in the OS. If they are required, then anyone can install them on their PC from the Microsoft Store. According to reports, 3D Viewer and Paint 3D will disappear from the OS this fall when Microsoft releases a major update known as Sun Valley. Along with the applications, the accompanying folder “3D objects” will disappear from the OS and the editor of handwritten formulas Math Input Panel.

These changes have already been made to preview Windows 10, which is currently in testing as part of the Microsoft Insider Program. As for the future Sun Valley update, it will bring users new features and fixes and include a major update to the user interface. According to reports, many interface elements will receive a new look, including the “Start” menu, “Taskbar,” “Control Panel,” and others. It is expected that the mass distribution of the Sun Valley update will begin in October-November this year.
