Microsoft will finally fix random movement of windows in Windows 10 when using multiple monitors

Many Windows users working with multiple monitors have repeatedly faced the problem when working with multiple monitors. The computer randomly places application windows when it wakes up from sleep mode. Users have come up with different ways to solve the problem, but Microsoft will soon fix it with an update for Windows 10.

This problem is especially troublesome for users who use a laptop with an additional monitor. If the monitor goes into deep sleep mode, Windows thinks it is disconnected from the network. The operating system moves all open application windows to the laptop screen, and the user has to drag them back manually. Microsoft calls this problem Rapid Hot Plug Detect (Rapid HDP).

Microsoft says it is working to fix Rapid HDP, and a fix for the problem will appear in a major Windows 10 update that will be released later this year. Insider users of the operating system can access this hotfix in build 21287.
