Microsoft won the lawsuit and received the right to buy Activision Blizzard

A court in San Francisco allowed Microsoft to close a deal to buy major US video game publisher Activision Blizzard. The corresponding decision was posted on Tuesday, July 11, in the database of the court.

The court denies the application for a temporary block. The Federal Trade Commission has failed to demonstrate that the combined company will no longer release the Call of Duty series on the Sony PlayStation, nor that Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision will significantly reduce competition in the gaming services and cloud gaming market.
