But at a height of no more than 150 meters and only during the day. And in the direct line of sight of the external pilot
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has published new rules for the use of airspace, according to which unmanned aerial vehicles can be launched in populated areas. At the same time, drones are allowed to be launched at a height of up to 150 m from the ground or water level and only during daylight hours. The drone must be in direct line of sight of the remote pilot, it is also necessary to ensure that the device is outside the restricted areas. Such zones will be determined by the Ministry of Transport of Russia on the proposal of the regional authorities. The new simplified procedure for organizing drone flights does not require the submission of a movement plan to the aviation authorities for devices weighing up to 30 kg.
Ministry of Transport allowed to launch drones over cities
In addition, the procedure for using unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture when performing aerial chemical work in pest control was simplified. In accordance with it, it is allowed to fly at an altitude of less than 30 m from the earth or water surface at a distance of more than 5 km from the control points of airfields and 2 km from landing sites without establishing short-term restrictions in the airspace. And the flight plan of the drone, if it is still needed, can be sent to the authorities using a digital platform for ensuring activities for the use of Russian airspace. There you can also quickly receive all the necessary information for the flight, including permissions from local authorities, as noted in the ministry.
