Asim brings a wealth of hospitality experience to his new role. His journey began in 2005, starting as a butler at the prestigious Soneva Fushi resort in the Maldives. Over the years, he has honed his expertise through various operational roles across the Maldives and Thailand. Most recently, Asim excelled as the Resort Manager at Anantara Riverside Bangkok Hotel, where he successfully oversaw operations for the 376-room resort, encompassing the F&B division with its 10 diverse dining outlets, banquet operations, and unique dining boats.
Asim holds a BTEC National Diploma in Hotel Catering and Institutional Operations from the Maldives College of Higher Education. As of June 1st, Frederic Kolde officially assumed the role of General Manager at Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort. Kolde brings a distinguished international hospitality background to this position, having previously served as the Hotel Manager at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel.
Before his time with Minor Hotels, Kolde held leadership roles at Hyatt Hotels, gaining valuable experience in key areas like F&B and hotel management across various locations in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Beijing. Kolde’s proven track record in driving operational excellence and exceeding guest expectations makes him a valuable asset to Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort. He further bolsters his credentials with a Certificate in Hotel Revenue Management acquired from the esteemed Cornell University.
