Xiaomi sold over 30,000 Mi Mix Fold smartphones in less than a minute. Each one costs more than $ 1500
Xiaomi unveiled its first foldable smartphone last month, the Mi Mix Fold. Even though the novelty turned out to be one of the most expensive smartphones released by the Chinese manufacturer, it shatters like hotcakes. The company reported that it earned more than 400 million yuan (more than $ 61 million) on Mi Mix Fold in less than one minute since the start of sales of the device.
Recall that Mi Mix Fold is presented in three versions: with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of permanent memory, and a version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of permanent memory. The official cost of the former is 9999 yuan (about $ 1520), the second is 10,990 yuan ($ 1,674), and the third option is priced at 12,999 yuan ($ 1980). Thus, within the first minute of sales, the company could sell from 30,700 to 40,000 Mi Mix Fold smartphones.
Mi Mix Fold is equipped with an external 6.52-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2520 × 840 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and an internal 8.01-inch OLED display with WQHD + resolution. The device is powered by the flagship mobile platform Snapdragon 888 and is equipped with the unusual flexible Butterfly Cooling System.
The novelty is powered by a 5020 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging with a power of 67 watts. From zero to 100 percent, the power supply charges the battery in just 37 minutes.
