While integration with Messenger Rooms is implemented in a test form

The team of the popular WhatsApp messenger supported their employers on Facebook in an attempt to grab a piece of the pie from the Zoom service. Developers began to integrate with the service Messenger Rooms, which was launched by Facebook in late April.

The Messenger Rooms service allows you to make group calls with up to 50 participants. First, they started talking about its integration for the WhatsApp Web desktop application. Links to Messenger Rooms have now appeared in WhatsApp mobile apps for Android and iOS. This was told by the thematic resource WABetaInfo.

According to the source, links to Messenger Rooms are available in fresh beta versions of WhatsApp for Android (number 2.20.163) and iOS (number 2.20.52.6).

Test participants can create their own group video calls of Messenger Rooms directly from the mobile application and invite interlocutors. In the process of creating a “meeting room”, the user is invited to switch to the Facebook Messenger application.

While the function is available only to some users in certain countries, including the United States. The official launch in stable versions will take place later.
