Modder optimized graphics settings for Red Dead Redemption 2 for weak video cards
A user under the pseudonym Denis Winter created a modification for Red Dead Redemption 2 that optimizes the graphics of the game for video cards with 2 GB of video memory. Surprisingly, the image remains quite bearable.
The modification is essentially a modified settings file and allows you to run Red Dead Redemption 2 on a video card with 2 GB of video memory. In the usual case, the game prohibits doing this. According to the developer, the mod uses a mix of low, medium, and high graphics settings to balance image quality and performance.
Although it depends on the power of the components, those who tried the modification report a noticeable increase in performance: the frame rate has increased from 30 to 45-50. However, it should be borne in mind that Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most demanding games of the current generation, so this trick may not work for everyone.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
