More grind in Marvel’s Avengers on next-gen consoles

Square Enix has partnered with studios Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics to announce that the action-adventure Marvel’s Avengers will be updated to make life harder for players. Besides, the developers showed how the project looks like on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S.

The conditions for leveling up characters and passing Marvel’s Avengers will become even more stringent. The developers decided to add more grind to increase the time spent in the game. The update is scheduled for March 18, when versions of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S will be released. Simultaneously, Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics report: it is better to pump to level 50 now because it will take twice as long.

The game will increase the amount of experience needed to reach the highest level (rank 50) because, according to the developers, it is currently achieved too quickly. Ostensibly because of this, new users get lost in the mechanics that Marvel’s Avengers offers them.

“In most RPGs, the amount of experience needed to level up increases as you level up along a curve, but our system is a straight line. This led to speed problems. For example, skill points are scored too quickly, confusing and overwhelming for new players. We want every decision to invest in a skill or hero to be more meaningful, ” the development team wrote on the official website.

Besides, a trailer for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S versions of the game has appeared on the official Marvel’s Avengers microblogging. The video demonstrates higher quality textures, faster load times, and improved destruction.
