New adventures in an unusual world.
VGC citing “multiple sources” reported that Sony and the studio Guerilla Games intend to turn Horizon Zero Dawn into a full-fledged series of several games. Allegedly, it is planned to turn Horizon Zero Dawn into a trilogy. Sony made this decision after the success of the first part, the sales of which exceeded the mark of 10 million copies.
More mechasaurs! – Horizon Zero Dawn may become a trilogy and a cooperative will appear in the second part
According to VGC, the development of Horizon Zero Dawn 2 began shortly after the release of the original. Initially, the sequel was created for the PS4, but subsequently, it was decided to release the game on the PlayStation 5. According to rumors, the second part will be “gigantic” and will offer a huge open world and more freedom in the process of exploring it.
In addition, knowledgeable people told VGC that a cooperative could appear in Zero Dawn 2. It is still unknown whether we are talking about a cooperative passage of the campaign or a separate regime. At one time, Guerilla Games wanted to release a cooperative demo version of the project, the progress from which would be transferred to the final version of Zero Dawn 2, but the studio plans could change.
VGC notes that Guerilla Games wanted to add a co-op to the first part of Horizon Zero Dawn, but this aspect was abandoned in favor of the storyline campaign.
Horizon Zero Dawn is now available on PS4, and a PC version is expected in the summer.
