A network of 200 charging stations will be created in the next 3 years
The start-up company Swapery (part of the TechnoSpark group) opened the first mass charging stations for electric scooters and electric bicycles in Moscow and began providing charging services for kicksharing operators.
Swapery stations have already been installed in the South-Western, Novomoskovsky and North-Western administrative districts, in Govorovo and Shchukino, and in the next 3 years a distributed network of 200 charging stations will be created throughout Moscow.
Moscow launches mass charging network for electric scooters
The press service of Swapery said:
At the moment, the business scheme is as follows: an employee of the operator’s technical service collects dead batteries and brings them to the installation site of the charging station. Using remote access, he opens the cabinet, leaves the discharged and takes the charged batteries, and then installs them on scooters or electric bicycles in the station area.
Swapery stations do not require manual scanning of the QR codes of the returned batteries – NFC readers automatically record the battery IDs.
