Sales of “Moskvich 3” will start before the end of the year
Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov confirmed in an interview with TASS that more than 160 cars have already been assembled at the Moscow Moskvich plant, and about 440 more cars will be assembled by the end of December.
Serial assembly of cars at the Moskvich plant began on November 23. At the moment, the Moscow Automobile Plant has produced more than 160 cars – the urban crossover “Moskvich 3”. By the end of the year, about 440 more cars will be assembled, including 200 electric vehicles. Now preparations are underway for the production of electric cars.

He confirmed previously published information that in a year the plant will increase the level of localization to the same level as that of Renault, when it produced cars at this site.
At the moment, serial assembly of cars is underway at the Moskvich plant. Starting next year, we will increase the level of localization of production, and at the end of the year we will reach the level of localization that, for example, the Renault plant had when they owned Moskvich. We will make some body parts here, we will buy Russian tires. Every year – the maximum localization of components.

Moskvich 3 is available only with front-wheel drive and a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with 150 hp. (210 Nm), paired with a CVT or a six-speed manual gearbox.
Sales of “Moskvich 3” in Moscow and the regions of the Central Federal District will begin in December this year. The estimated cost will be about 1.6 – 2 million rubles.
